Question: What insurance limits are agencies requiring their employees to have for automobile insurance coverage on personal vehicles used to transport individuals served? Responses: We do not require limits. We require whatever limit is required by the State of Indiana. Staff in identified positions driving their personal automobile will also be required to maintain and provide proof of insurance as required by Indiana Law, as well as a minimum of $25,000/$50,000 for Bodily Injury Liability and $50,000 for Property Damage coverage. They must also maintain the vehicle in good repair and properly register the vehicle with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles We require proof of full coverage. We require employees to have auto insurance for themselves. All insurance agencies require the state mandated limits. We don’t require more. Our company through its insurance picks up the additional liability of employees transporting clients in the course of their job. $300,000 Combined Single Limit (CSL) for Bodily Injury and Property Damage; or $100,000 Bodily Injury Per Person / $300,000 Bodily Injury Per Accident/$100,000 Property Damage We will be tracking the expiration of your policy and will request a Certificate of Insurance prior to your renewal each year.
