INARF Q&A List Serve: What types of bonus programs are members providing?

Question:

Our Board of Directors has asked our President to revamp our bonus programs, starting with the executive level. What types of bonus programs are members providing?

Responses:

  • We only have one executive who has a bonus program and that is our CFO. When they were hired May 1, 2022, we provided a $15,000 bonus to be paid one-hald in six months if target goals were met and the remainder one year if the balance of the goals were met.
  • We do not have any executive level bonus programs. We do have signing bonus programs for DSPs and management
  • We provide a sign-on bonus and referral bonus program to all new, FT, and PT employees. Rehires are not eligible.
  • We have a bonus program that is overseen by our Board of Managers. Senior leadership is eligible for incentives based on four factors: Top line revenue, 25%. Net Revenue, 40%. Quality Metrics, 30%. Targeted subsidiary revenue accounts for the last 5%. Targets are approved each July when the budget is reviewed and approved, and status reports are delivered to the Board every quarter. At the end of the year, the Board reviews the performance and votes to approve the earned percentage awarded.
  • Later this year, we plan to move to a performance review module offered by our payroll/HRIS called Paylocity.
