QUESTION: Would other organizations be willing to share what type of software Day Services may be using to track and document their participant’s goals and provide documentation? We utilize Care Tracker – this is through the company Cerner. We use this for both our Day Services and Group Homes. www.cerner.com We have been using it since May 1, 2012. It allows direct care staff to input data 24-7 and it allows management staff to pull reports 24-7. We have a Kiosk at each of our sites and the system can be utilized through a computer as well. Our agency really likes the program – we have not used it for medication administration but it does have that capability if we decide to use it down the road. We have gone through CARF and a few BQIS surveys and have not had any issues. Some of the things we utilize Care Tracker for is…Daily Summary Notes, Data collection for objectives, Behavior tracking, Medical tracking, Incident reporting, Medication Error reporting, Internal messaging system (to send messages to direct care staff), Nurses notes, Nurse exams & Vitals, Consumer satisfaction surveys. There is also ways to go in and create specific tracking. We use Accel/Provide – I previously submitted them as a resource in our group and they were approved and posted.
