When does an employee become eligible to accrue PTO? Are both Full time and Part time employees eligible for PTO accrual?

QUESTION: When does an employee become eligible to accrue PTO? Are both Full time and Part time employees eligible for PTO accrual?

Accrual for PTO begins at 90 days. Part time employees are not eligible.

***

Our agency stipulates that new hires must fulfill their 6-month introductory period before they can use PTO. We just changed our paid time off procedures effective the first of this year, and employees are given their allowable amount of days/hours at the beginning of the year, but there are stipulations for requesting time off, etc., and fulfilling the initial new-hire introductory period is one of them. PTO is given to part-time employees, as well, as long as they are hired to work a minimum 17 hours per week, and the amount of days/hours is pro-rated accordingly based on the number of hours hired to work per week.

***

Full and part time employees begin accruing PTO upon their first day of hire. However, PTO cannot be used within the first 6 months of employment.

***

Our employees (full-time & part-time) begin to accrue PTO hours upon hire, but it cannot be used until the probationary period has ended and regular status is granted.

***

Our FT employees begin to accrue PTO after 90 days of successful employment with the agency. The accrual begins at 4.62 hours per biweekly pay period and goes up after 5 years of employment. We do not offer PTO to PT employees.

***

Full time employees start accruing PTO immediately, hourly employees must work 60 days before being eligible to use PTO, salary employees can use PTO immediately. Part time employees do not accrue PTO.

***

Employees receive PTO after 90 days. Employees have to work more than 25 hours a week, which includes part and full-time employees.

***

PTO is for Full Time employees only. They begin to accrue as soon as they are working, however, they cannot utilize it until their 91st day of employment. We base PTO on number of years of service as well as hours worked.
