Are providers of IDD services required to use E-Verify?

QUESTION: Based on the definition of employers who are required to use E-Verify, I don’t think our Agency would be mandated to use the service, however I know some agencies do. Is this required of our agencies or is this something only required of agencies receive certain grants?

We are required to use it because of Head Start funding. Due to E-Verify rules, you cannot e-verify some employees but not others, so we E-Verify everyone.

***

We always do E-Verify on all of our applicants. Our Workers Compensation Insurance also requires us to do so. I was always under the impression that we legally had to do E-Verify in the state of Indiana.

***

I am not sure it is required by all of our programs but we do use E-Verify for all staff.
