Checklist What to watch for If you are transitioning to Structured Family Caregiving, you should be working with your care manager to select a provider and understand your tier or level, according to your needs. More information about what to expect and differences in the process between adults and children is available here. If you are searching for a Structured Family Caregiving provider, make sure you check out both available lists. The Statewide Provider list includes providers that are offering services in all Indiana counties; the Provider by County list is a county-by-county listing of providers offering services in select counties only. Service plans should be updated by June 15 by the care manager to reflect your family’s decision to continue with attendant care provided by another paid caregiver who is not a legally responsible individual or move to Structured Family Caregiving on July 1. Your questions answered Frequently Asked Questions Question: Is skilled respite included if I am receiving Structured Family Caregiving? Answer: Skilled respite is not included in Structured Family Caregiving but can be requested as a separate waiver service for those receiving Structured Family Caregiving, beginning July 1, 2024. Work with your care manager to assess needs related to the respite being requested and coordinate the skilled respite services. Question: Is the service of Attendant Care becoming Structured Family Caregiving in July? Answer: No. Attendant Care and Structured Family Caregiving are separate services. Individuals can choose which service best meets the needs of the individual and family. Question: Should individuals terminate the Aged and Disabled Waiver and just receive the Home Health prior authorization? Answer: No. Services on the A&D waiver may be provided in addition to, and should complement, the Home Health prior authorization offered on the state plan. Waiver transition A&D Waiver will split on July 1 On July 1, the Aged and Disabled Waiver will split into two waivers. Members 59 and under This waiver is being renamed the Health & Wellness Waiver and is transitioning to the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services. You should continue to work with your care manager for any waiver-related needs. Members over 60 The Indiana PathWays for Aging program begins July 1. All members have been enrolled in a health plan. Keep an eye on your mail for the welcome packet from your plan. Members may call 87-PathWay-4 (877-284-9294) to change their plan. TBI Waiver to transition on July 1 On July 1, the Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver will transition to the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services.
