No, we evaluate DSPs as part of their initial hands-on training with a road test demonstration, and we only repeat this as remediation after an accident, ticket, or other offense. We don’t, but we do require annual driver safety training and run a BMV records check annually. Defensive driving training along with a “test drive” during new employee orientation. Annually- DSPs complete a defensive driving course on Relias. Staff do an annual defensive driving class online, but do not complete a behind the wheel portion annually. We only do a behind the wheel portion when hired, and then retraining if there is an incident that occurs such as an accident or injury. We complete competency checks for those associates that are responsible for driving wheelchair accessible vehicles.
