In response to members' request for additional information on the Open Future Learning Grant Opportunity, INARF with our FSSA partners provided a webinar for interested INARF providers on July 15.  The webinar included a demo on a general walk-through of the website and modules followed by Q&A.

Pre-reading of the Open Future Learning Grant FAQ is recommended before watching the recording.

Below are the questions/answers from the webinar.

Q: How does the “Create Modules” feature work? Can providers create new modules or use existing trainings to create a multi-faceted training for their staff?
A: This video explains how the Custom Module Builder works: https://youtu.be/bVBtD7ew4sQ.  When users access a module built by their organization, they do not become an active user. It is a completely free piece of what we offer and does not affect their membership in any way. Members can use their own content to create any kind of module. Modules that members create are only available to their members.

Q: Can a manager/supervisor review the Reflective Action Plan before they meet with their staff? Or is it only available to the staff following module completion?
A: You only receive a Reflective Action Plan after completing a module but it is a static document and if members want a copy of it we can forward.

Q: Are there any leadership trainings available for supervisory staff?
A: We presently have two modules dedicated to leaders (although obviously lots would be helpful). These are titled:

  • MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP TRAINING - DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS
  • MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP TRAINING - MANAGING EMOTIONS

Later this summer we hope to add:

  • MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP TRAINING - BUILDING BRILLIANT TEAMS
  • MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP TRAINING - PERSON-CENTERED SUPERVISION
