As reviewed in both the June and July INARF Member Forums, the FSSA has launched a project to propose a vision to address shortages in the Direct Service Worker (DSW) function across industries. On July 26, 2022, FSSA held a meeting of associations, providers, and state officials to review the current proposed strategies and to seek guidance and feedback. INARF staff and members attended and provided active feedback. In addition, based on FSSA’s presentation during the June Forum, we submitted a feedback memo to the state and shared it with members in an email on July 11, 2022. The intent of this email is to share the materials from the FSSA’s July 26, 2022 meeting that outlines the state’s current thinking on their DSW initiative and attached you will find both the PowerPoint presentation and a narrative version of the strategies. As you review, if you have any thoughts or feedback, please let me know at john@inarf.org. Attachments: - DSW Initial Strategies Slide Deck - Initial DSW Strategies
