Presentation (PDF) Open in new window Overview Ability Indian is a Central Coordinating Agency that operates the Indiana State Use Program, which ensures that products and services provided by Hoosiers with disabilities are offered at competitive prices. This non-profit organization is dedicated to the employment of Hoosiers with disabilities and serves as the liaison between state, municipal and private sector purchasing agents and employment centers across the state. Overarching Messages When the state, counties, cities, towns and businesses buy from Ability Indiana, they get more than really good products and services at a fair price – they crate meaningful jobs for people with disabilities across Indiana. Ability Indiana represents organizations employing and serving people with disabilities and makes it easy for purchasing agents for state, county, city or town governments and private-sector businesses to access products and services from these organizations. - 33employment centers across Indiana - Workforce of 1,900 individuals with disabilities in Indiana. - Representatives available to assist purchasing agents. A great variety of very high quality goods and services are available at budget friendly prices. - You'll find products from mops and brooms to drug test kits, cleaning supplies, bird feeders, orange safety vests and assembled sanitation kits. - You can access services from remanufacturing toner cartridges to document shredding, call center services, screen printing and even janitorial services. - If it's not currently available, there is likely someone who could develop the products or service for you. IDOA Vendor Fair Tips for a Successful Show If possible, stand, make eye contact, smile and say "hi." Introduce yourself and your organization as a partner of Ability Indiana. If possible, provide an example of a product or service you provide to a state agency. Ask if they would be interested in purchasing products or services that would help Hoosiers with disabilities. Offer a business card and ask for one in return. Say "thank you." Follow up within 24 hours.
