QUESTION: Do any agencies retain a lawyer to help answer any legal issues that may come up for your organization? Yes, we have an employment lawyer. We use him as needed and pay an hourly fee for his service. We have an employment attorney that we use when such questions come up, but we do not have them on retainer. We do not pay a retainer fee, however we do have a specific attorney that we use for employment related issues. Yes, we retain legal counsel and use them not just when legal issues arise, but to review documents and policies as necessary to ensure we are in compliance. We work with Hall Render. We do not have a lawyer on retainer, but one we can call who charges hourly.
