QUESTION: Are other providers, who are billing transportation through the waiver, requiring employees who drive a van &/or bus, less than 26,000 lbs. and seats less than 16 persons, to obtain a For Hire Endorsement on their license? ? No, we do not require a For Hire endorsement for individuals transporting persons served in that classification of vehicle. We always required our employees who drive any of our agency vehicles (van, bus - less than 26,000 lbs., and/or car) to obtain and maintain a Public Passenger Chauffeur’s (PPC) License. Then when the Indiana BMV stopped providing PPC licenses, we began requiring employees to obtain the For-Hire Endorsement on their license.
