QUESTION: Are there providers who support individuals who are registered sex offenders in your group homes (ICF) and Day Programs? What policies do you have in place? How do you communicate with guardians of other clients in your Day Program and group homes? We currently do not have any sex offenders in our group homes. We follow the individual’s plan in our Day Program. The Community Resource Program at IN-PACT does not currently provide supports and services to individuals who are registered sex offenders or who have been adjudicated by the court system. We have policies on individual rights, health and safety, policy on admission process, IDT meetings to identify if an individual who are registered sex offenders are eligible for services under the DDRS requirements. It is my understanding that to work with individuals who are sex offenders, probationers or otherwise entangled with the penal system, providers must seek and obtain accreditation for each related program through CARF.
