decision making should also be consumer-driven The system modifications result in major systems change; extensive training is necessary for both VR and provider staff The system modifications require a mindset shift of both VR and provider staff Considerations VR and provider staff will need to increase understanding of Discovery and Supported Employment to ensure delivery of these services is highly individualized, flexible, and based on consumer need Through cost analysis, VRS is projected to experience a 12.6% increase in spend on employment services Planning Make sure you are developing strong relationships with your local offices. The Model’s success is dependent on strong collaboration Do your best to ensure all applicable staff attend the joint-trainings Review real cases against the Hybrid Model, including services that may have been needed, but not funded under RBF Planning Select a sample of new cases and build an inventory or ideas for the discovery process Regularly check the Q&A for new information Be positive when discussing this with your staff – change is difficult, and this is a big one Share information, work together, and ask questions
