The Client Assistance Program (CAP) helps individuals with applying for or getting services from Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) or Centers for Independent Living (CILs). CAP is run by Indiana Disability Rights, an independent state agency that serves people with disabilities. If you are interested in receiving CAP assistance, please contact Indiana Disability Rights at 317-722-5555 or 800-622-4845. You can also submit an online intake form here: http://in.gov/ipas/2524.htm. An attorney will review your request for assistance and determine whether CAP can help. Responses to Additional Questions for Indiana Disability Rights Non-Residential Assessment Survey Response Presentation Jim Van Dyke, INARF Consultant Yesterday morning, Jim Van Dyke presented on strategies to respond to the documentation request as part of the non-residential provider self-assessment validation process. Yesterday afternoon, Cathy Robinson conducted a technical assistance webinar regarding the non-residential provider self-assessment validation process. The webinar should be available soon on the FSSA webinars webpage, located here. A few key points from the webinar: -BDDS/PCG sent the documentation request email to the contact person identified in the non-residential self-assessment or the email address on file. Several providers have reported that the email was sorted into the contact’s spam folder. The web address where the emails came from is @pcgus.ccsend.com. If you did not receive a documentation request, check your contact BDDS/PCG at INbdds@pcgus.com. -All documentation and supporting evidence must be electronically submitted to DDRS and PCG via INbdds@pcgus.com no later than February 13, 2017. Documentation will be submitted as email attachments, so providers submitting large files or large numbers of documents should consider using a zip file to compress all documents into one file. Instructions for creating a zip file can be found here. -Be sure to clearly identify your organization’s files and email with your organization’s name and note that it is your response to the Non-Residential Self-Assessment documentation request (for example: Subject: Provider X Response to Non-Residential Provider Self-Assessment Documentation Request) If you send more than one email, be sure to mark your emails 1 of 2 and 2 and 2. -Click here to review the HCBS standards and examples of acceptable evidence per standard. Jim Van Dyke provides additional examples during his presentation, which begins at approximately 1:08:54 in the recording. See the presentation recording for more information. -Only provide existing documentation that supports your responses to the self-assessment. You do not need to update or create new policies, procedures, or any other related documentation. -Submit materials addressing the standards for each site where HCBS services are provided. However, if multiple service sites operate under the same policies, procedures or other documentation as requested, do not provide the same documentation multiple times. Instead, clearly indicate this in your response. -Redact ALL personally identifiable information of any individual receiving waiver services. Examples of individual service plans or other individual-specific evidence must not include any personally identifiable information. -Only submit documentation as supporting evidence that includes items in compliance with the standards outlined in the HCBS Final Rule. Remember to clearly mark documentation to indicate which standard it supports. -Providers will receive an email confirming that their documentation was received. If you do not receive a confirmation email after submitting your documentation, contact BDDS/PCG at INbdds@pcgus.com. -Providers should consider submitting documentation prior to the February 13 deadline in case of technological glitches. -BDDS and PCG will review documentation and plan to send requests for site visits to providers by early March.
